The Florida-Georgia District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod began campus ministry in Tallahassee in 1964. What began as a small bungalow was remodeled into LUTHER HOUSE — a chapel and student center with room for live-in residents. Later that building was demolished and the building that presently serves our congregation was built. The Chapel and Center were dedicated in 1979. Today, both resident members of all ages as well as students from the area’s university campuses make up the body of believers who worship at University Lutheran Church and Student Center.
We know that approximately half of our former Florida State University students continue to live in Florida, with a majority of those in either Orlando or Jacksonville. But we also have former students who are living abroad. Wherever you may live, we’d like to help connect you to other LutherNoles nearby.
